Wow!! It's been a long time..and boy do we have some changes!!!

Well, it has been quite some time since I even logged on to work on our blog. Since this time, our beautiful angel, Cailey, has graced us with her prescence. She is the best thing that has ever happened to us. We love her so much and are very proud parents. So here is a quick recap::::

On Thursday, October 29, 2009, I (Mommy) was induced. We went into the hospital at 5:30am that morning...after a huge lack of sleep due to such excitement...and Cailey Madison Smith was born at 7:02pm, weighing 8lbs, 5oz. She was born healthy as can be. Thanks be to God!!! We ended up having to do a section after 2 hours of hard pushing. Mommy was put to sleep during the section and barely remembers anything. Any pain is sooo well worth the blessing we have!! She is perfect!!!! Cailey had many visitors while we were at the hospital. The room was never quiet until bedtime. Cailey first went home on Sunday, November 1, 2009, where her room was all ready for her and she was surrounded in clouds of pink! During the first month, she slept alot, except days and nights were mixed up. Cailey did not want to sleep in her bassinet or crib for the first six weeks...she wanted to sleep on Mommy's chest. So, to comprimise she slept in her bouncy. Cailey began growing and changing at what seemed daily. She had her first Thanksgiving and Christmas...and boy!! was Santa good to her!! Next year will be fun! Cailey is now 4 months old and will be 19 weeks old this Thursday. Time is going too fast!! Mommy had to sadly return to work on January 4, 2010 and Cailey began daycare. So far, everything is going well with the daycare. She had her 4 month shots last week and she is nowing weighing 14lbs, 8oz (probably a little more now) and is 25 inches long. But, still healthy as can be. We began spoon feeding twice a day after her dr appointment last week, which is going well...messy, but well. We are very blessed...Cailey has been sleeping through the night since 9 weeks. She is now sleeping in her own room and bed!! She has learned to roll over and LOVES to sleep on her stomach! She wants to talk so bad it hurts her...and she is starting to learn to sing in Church!!! It is so sweet!

I promise to start blogging at least once a week and keeping everyone updated on our sweet little family. We are leaving Friday and headed to see Grandpa and Grandma and the rest in St Louis...we are all so excited. This will be Cailey's first time to see them and vice versa since she was born!!

I will also try to get some pictures on here soon....still learning this whole blog thing!

Ending on a sad note....our sweet Shadow went to "doggy heaven" the day after Thanksgiving. That was the hardest thing we ever had to do was say goodbye to him. We miss him so terribly. He was our first child for so long.
